Situated within the greater Kruger National Park, the Manyeleti reserve is known for its proliferation of game. It is bounded to the north by the Timbavati reserve of the white-lion fame, and to the south by the Sabi Sands reserve. The eastern boundary adjoins the Kruger National Park, and with no fences between the reserves, a huge variety of wildlife -- approximately 105 different mammal species and 450 bird species -- roam free.

Tintswalo Safari Lodge Facilities |
Tintswalo is planned to be the most luxurious bush lodge in Southern Africa. Eight private tented suites enjoy privacy and seclusion. Our exclusive suites are decorated to recall the pioneering times of explorers – though with every modern luxury added. Each suite has a private plunge pool and bar facility.
All the spacious air – conditioned suites are positioned along the seasonal Nwaswitsontso river with a view of the waterhole below the majestic sycamore grove. The indoor/outdoor shower leads off from the spacious bathroom, which opens out onto a private deck. The exquisitely appointed lounging area of the main complex also overlooks the sycamores and watering hole, and all parts of the lodge are linked by wooden walkways.
Additional to the 5 standard explorer suites we have our secluded honeymoon suite, The ‘Baker’ suite, decorated in opulent fabrics and four-poster bed. The luxury suite, The ‘Speke’ suite, has a private lounge area and a greater expanse of deck, where guests can read the explorer John Speke’s original published journals at leisure. The presidential suite, The ‘Baines’ suite, has two full suites joined by a large living area with open-plan kitchen, where a private chef prepares meals. This suite, if required, has completely private activities and can operate independently from the main lodge. Children are welcome to stay in this suite.

Tintswalo Safari Lodge Additional Information |
The daily schedule is infinitely flexible to accommodate any preference. Typically, the day will begin with breakfast and early-morning game viewing, continuing with a gourmet lunch and leisure time, followed by afternoon activities and dinner. Lodge staff are always on duty and during leisure time guests may enjoy the extensive library, request talks on the history and character of the African bush, or relax with a pampering treatment by qualified beauty therapists.
Tintswalo is a private concession within the 23 000 hectare Manyeleti reserve. Guides escort guests on game viewing drives and share their wealth of knowledge on folk law, bush legends, the medicinal properties of fauna and flora, ornithology and entomology as well as the fascinating lives and habits of the game species to be found in and around Manyeleti.
Game viewing is enjoyed in luxury individually seated open Landrovers with trained FGASA accredited guides and trained trackers. Night drives are equally as exciting, as 30% of African wildlife is seen at night. Only red filtered spotlights are used, to avoid disturbing the animals. Visits to local authentic communities, where some of our staff actually reside, can be arranged. In addition to our inclusive activities we can at an additional charge arrange elephant-back safaris, visits to the cheetah research foundation, panorama route excursions and scenic flights. Private guides are available on request.
