The craftsmen who are said to have fashioned this amazing palace many centuries ago paid tribute to both art and nature in soaring columns and intricate mosaics, capturing elegant sable and winged cranes in bronze and stone and celebrating the mighty elephant with life-size sculpture. Each of the 338 luxurious rooms and suites offers royal hospitality with wonderful views over water and Jungle, intricately hand-carved furnishings which reflect the furnishings of Africa and an attention to detail which emphasises the personal touch. Resident guests at the Palace can bathe in the grand pool or stroll down to the royal baths in the valley of waves, sip a cocktail at the poolside or in the gracious tusk bar and dine in splendour in the Crystal Court or Villa del Palazzo, where fine cuisine is a treasured art.
