CLIMATE |
The
Manyeleti Rainy Season begins from October to March.
The subtropical climate is conducive to warm rainy
summers with momentary heavy down pours in the form
of thunder storms.
After the first rains of the season the area greens
up considerably. The animals become harder to see
as numerous waterholes fill up and the foliage becomes
thicker.
The dry season between April and September is cooler
and is rated as the best game viewing time. During
winter the vegetation becomes sparse and water is
restricted to rivers and artificial waterholes.

- GENERAL INFORMATION |
Manyeleti Reserve is positioned between the Timbavati
Private Reserve, the Kruger National Park and the
Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Historically it was the only
park that black people could visit during Apartheid.
Today it has evolved into a highly desired safari
destination. Community partnerships and new concession
holders have transformed the reserve into a well managed
eco-tourism venture.
Like most of the private reserves along the Kruger
boundary, Manyeleti Reserve is not fenced, so the
animals are able to roam freely between the reserves.
The Manyeleti habitat is an area loaded with diversity
and presents striking landscape and superb safari
possibilities.
A great variety of wildlife thrive here and close
encounter with the 'Big Five’, Elephant, Lion,
Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard are a daily event. Birdlife
is prolific with over 300 recorded species.
