CAPE
TOWN CLIMATE |
Cape Town has a
Mediterranean climate. The winters are mild and wet,
the summers are warm and dry and the spring and autumn
seasons are very pleasant. The weather can be unpredictable
and the wind can gust to gale-force at times.
Rainy Season: the north-westerly
winds bring rain to the peninsula from May to September.
The coldest winter months are June, July and August
with temperatures.
Dry Season: Summers begin with
warm days getting hotter until they reach a peak
in December, January and February. The summer southeaster
can be relentless at times.
Spring: This is wonderful spectacle
in about August when the Cape Flora bursts into
flower, it is also when the whales arrive.
