CLIMATE |
Spring: August and into September.
October gets much warmer with the feeling of summer
around the corner.
Summer: November to March are
hot, and temperatures peak from December to February
at around 30°C.
Autumn: Cool down from about April
but it can still be very pleasant until June.
Winter: June, July and August are
mid-winter months but the days may still be bright
and warm, but it gets cold in the evening.

ADDO
- GENERAL INFORMATION |
Proclaimed in the early 1930’s, as a refuge
for the remaining wild elephants wandering the area.
It is now residence to great herds of elephants and
other varieties of animal.
Addo Elephant Park has been such a great success that
the park has been extended with the acquisition of
adjoining farm land.
The vast park is now referred to as the Greater Addo
National Park which will eventually cover over 500
000 hectares.
This unusual park will include the thick inland valley
bushveld of the Sundays River, and the new section
which extends as far as the sea.
This will include 120,000 ha marine reserve and the
surrounding islands.
