We offer two types of desert experiences in Africa. The first is probably
the most authentic but contradictory areas: The Namib is nearly rainless,
yet its air is normally at saturation point because fog along the Namibian
coastline is very common. Temperatures in the coastal area are mild.
The other is probably not a desert in the true sense of the word. The
Kalahari however is an arid area famous for its red sand dunes. It covers
a major part of southern Africa which includes probably one of the most
wildlife rich areas in the world. The Okavango Delta brings life to the
desert and gives a wonderful contrast to a desert experience.
The distances in the desert can be vast and it is recommended that one
rather utilises the fly-in route to access remote destinations. We offer
a wonderful range of desert experiences at exclusive private lodges throughout
Botswana and Namibia. Unique desert adapted animals are a special encounter
in the amazing dune and rocky landscape.
