Sausage Tree Camp Location
Sausage Tree camp is situated in the Lower Zambezi National Park, opposite Mana Pools. The camp offers stunning scenery and varied wildlife viewing within a diverse range of ecosystems. Guests flying into Jeki airstrip are road transferred by a game drive to camp (45 mins). Jeki airstrip is located in the National Park.

Sausage Tree Camp Attractions
Chifungulu's scenic channels dotted with water lilies and hippos combined, with expansive views of the river and distant Zambezi escarpment, make for an idyllic position to experience the river, the flood plains and the riverine flora.

Sausage Tree Camp Facilities
Sausage Tree caters for a maximum of 12 guests with six large, Bedouin-style tents - each privately located with expansive river views. Decor is simple and classic. The en-suite bathrooms offer hot and cold running water and flush loos. New lighting and large mirrors add to the impressive “new look” giving the bathrooms a stunning bush feel. Twin beds are three-quarter size and double beds are king size. Each tent has a private viewing area and there is also a reading tent with a deck overlooking the river as well as a main mess tent and dining area.

Sausage Tree Camp Additional Information
The Lower Zambezi National Park and river offers a range of activities unique to Africa. Day and night game drives. Wilderness walks. Canoeing, boat game viewing. birding and fishing. A suggested day's activities - depart for an early morning walk, return for a bush breakfast followed by an exploratory few hours of canoeing through the channels of the Zambezi River. Have a picnic lunch before returning to camp for a relaxing afternoon followed by an evening (day/night) game drive. Walks onto the Zambezi escarpment are also possible, but this is only recommended for guests staying more than 2 nights. All guides are experienced and qualified. As from June 2007, guests will be offered aromatherapy, reflexology, pysiatrics, Swedish & Indian head massage, shiatsu and hot stone therapy massage.
