Latest Feedback from Clients on their African safaris and vacations in 2008

"I think I speak for the whole family when I say our safari was magnificent. We greatly enjoyed Delta Camp for its cuisine, Mokoro and most especially the walking. The accommodation at Mapula Lodge was excellent and the game drives wonderfully successful.

All in all we saw four of the big 5, including a marvelous hour with a leopard and a python catch at Mapula Lodge. We also had ground level views of elephant and giraffe (and another python) at Delta.

The travel arrangements went perfectly. Greenlife’s information sheets were very useful on logistics."

"We had an absolutely wonderful trip. We really enjoyed the overland tour with the 42 Day Southern Explorer North. The food, itinerary, campsites, and comfort of the bus were all great. Our highlights were watching the sunrise from Dune 45 in the Namib Desert, the Mokoro tour through the Okavango Delta and the game drives in Masai Mara.

Thanks for all of your help in making our dream trip become a reality!"

"Now since we are back in Switzerland again we think back with great joy to our South African holiday which you organized so well. We were more than pleased with your competent and efficient service before, while and after our trip. You were able to find good solutions and we greatly appreciated your availability almost round the clock.

If we would come back to South Africa again we certainly would call on you again."

"Overall a very good trip. Little Kulala excellent good staff and ambiance. Anton the ranger who looked after us was a delight and so interesting. Balloon flight great fun also and Paul the pilot is great value. Sunrise and trip to Sossesvlei a must do finishing with a most pleasant lunch.

We had a most enjoyable time at Serra Cafema and it really was quite difficult for the staff as there had been considerable rain for the previous weeks. Steve our guide was again excellent and the visit to the local people is well worth doing, animals very thin on the ground but views and ambiance of the area stunning. Sundowners a must for the views.

We are already working on our next trip to Etosha and Okewanka area for next time."

"The holiday and package were excellent. I've never used an agent before to book my holiday so I was elated that everything went well.

We liked that the rate provided us with the breakfast and accommodation. The hotel's hospitality was superb. Both the Zambezi Sun and The Royal Livingstone were great get-aways. The service was excellent, and the setting is really ideal."

"The Ambassador hotel was nice. A very good value for the cost and what was provided. Incredible sunsets! The hotel staff were all very attentive, the concierge (Shireen) was superb--she took care to make sure all my arrangements and questions were fully answered. She is a very efficient and professional young lady.

The transport to and from the airport was superb. Emmanuel was waiting for me at the airport upon my very late arrival and was early to pick me up at the Ambassador to take me home again. It was a superb service.

As for your service, I would be happy to recommend you to anyone or to use your service if/when I travel to SA again. You did a wonderful job for me and I appreciate your very professional and thorough work ethic."

"We had a FANTASTIC time at Rocktail Bay and in South Africa. What a special place Rocktail Bay is.

Thank you for your wonderful support and guidance planning this vacation. You were by far, the most helpful person that I worked with.

I am definitely planning to take another trip to Africa and stay in more in the Wilderness Safari camps. Rocktail Bay was a highlight of our stay."

"Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

We absolutely loved our trip. It was a once in a lifetime experience that we hope to do more than once! We were talking about coming back well before the trip was over. Your services were great - our drivers were cordial and on time and everything went as smoothly as we could have hoped. We were very pleased and know that you worked hard with me to get us what we wanted.

We can't say enough about An African Villa. We loved that place. As you know it's not a full service hotel but a guesthouse - but boy what a guesthouse. It was beautifully decorated and had great service. Louis, one of the owners, couldn't have been more helpful in suggesting restaurants, making reservations, etc and their breakfast was delicious.

Le Franschhoek Hotel was very nice hotel, beautiful location, and great service. We loved the wine region - the mountains were incredible.

We generally liked Pom Pom Camp. We had a great guide named Seretze and all the guides seemed very nice and on top of things. Our tent/room was very comfortable. The food was good as well. Overall it was a great experience. We saw a tremendous variety of animals.

Mapula Lodge was not quite as comfortable but had loads of character. We thought the staff in general were very nice. Our room had a beautiful view and, again, the food was quite nice. We saw lions and many other species.

Muchenje Safari Lodge was more comfortable here but probably the least authentic of the three lodges in Botswana - not fancy but clean and well run. Staff very good, food good, and the viewing of animals INCREDIBLE! We loved the boat trip we took along the Zambezi - may have been our favourite day with animals. We had a great view of the river from our room.

Stanley Safari Lodge was a very nice lodge. Had our budget not been an issue we would have loved to have stayed in places of this calibre for the entire stay. We had Fantastic service, beautiful setting and good food. It was a great place. We visited both the Zambia and Zimbabwe sides of the Falls. We did the elephant ride from the Zimbabwe side where they had some baby elephants we were able to play with a bit - we enjoyed this. We also took the 30 minute helicopter ride over the Falls which we loved.

We will certainly recommend your services to all our friends. Thank you again for all of your time and patience and expertise. We're so happy."

"We do not know how to thank you. Our trip was really unforgettable. Everything was perfect; weather, good timing, nice hotels, totally safe etc... We have travelled a lot, but this has completely exceeded our expectations.

Chestnut Country Lodge is wonderful, it was a fabulous experience. At Camp Jabulani everything was perfect. The camp itself is one of the best places we have ever been. We will recommend it.

Ulusaba Safari Lodge had more animals and it is spectacular. Olivers Restaurant and Lodge is a nice place to "come back on earth".

Many thanks for all that you have done for us and the perfect organization of this trip. Hope to be in SA again."

"Oh WOW, both Cheetah Plains and Doreale Grande Hotel were equally amazing.

Everything went off so smoothly and the staff at Djuma Bush Lodge were awesome. The food, the quality, everything exceeded my standards. It was so nice and the weather was great. I had a great time getting to know the employees and learning about South African traditions.

I am so glad I went. I guess once suggestion you could give is to tell people if they get motion sickness to take some pills. Thanks again for everything.

I am thinking to plan another vacation to Durban and Cape Town, so I think I could use your help again when I go."

Will certainly recommend you to further travellers to South Africa."

"What an incredible trip! It was a breathtaking and spiritual experience, almost indescribable. I fell in love with all of it. Botswana was unbelievably beautiful, and all the wildlife encounters were fantastic!

I saw 3 leopards (one went up a tree and started eating his kill while a hyena circled below- very cool!) and a wild dogs/lions/hyena encounter! Xigera Camp ,Savuti Camp and Duma Tau were GREAT, run impeccably, staff warm and friendly everywhere, food spectacular - just the perfect setup! Every representative of Wilderness, from camp staff to transfer driver/guides, was outstanding - friendly and helpful, they all took great care of me!

Victoria Falls and the Zambezi Sun were beautiful (although I nearly killed myself on the gorge swing...and lost my glasses - but I survived, got new glasses in Cape Town, and kept going!

I think Cape Town is one of the coolest cities in the world - I loved it! I stayed at the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. I went on a great white shark cage dive in Gansbaai, took a beautiful Cape peninsula tour and saw the wonderful penguins at Boulders Beach. I went to Stellenbosch and Spiers wine estate and pet the cheetahs - it was all really great!

It was a phenomenal journey and I would love to come back one day, thanks so much again for helping to make it possible and getting me all set up. I am more than happy to give a glowing recommendation to you, Greenlife, and Wilderness Safaris for a superior experience, start to finish! It truly was the trip of a lifetime I hoped it would be. Take care and keep up the good work!"

"Zambezi Sun was excellent. The staff were very helpful and professional. The facilities were clean, elegant, and modern. The overall feel of the resort was relaxed and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was great. The room service was mediocre.

The location, just a couple minutes walk from the Victoria Falls, was amazing. The travel agents through the hotel were helpful. The fact that the resort is on the grounds of a national park was cool. When we arrived, a giraffe and a zebra were grazing in the large roundabout. It was also a nice bonus that we could use the facilities of The Royal Livingstone (It has a great patio café facing the river that is beautiful at sunset).

One negative is the difficulty one has in getting to the town of Livingstone for dining or shopping. But this must be weighed against the great benefit of being right by the Victoria Falls."
