Feedback from Clients on their African safaris and vacations in 2007

"I can only say CONGATULATIONS for the way you have organized the whole safari trip. Every thing was handled very efficiently including the paper work. The wole family was delighted with the trip."
Marco Lacava-Asselta, ITALY. (Repeat clients)
(travel dates: January 2007)

"Our trip was mainly self-planned and not particularly safari based (although we did visit Aquila Game Reserve for a day trip and that would be highly recommended to the less intrepid traveller!) so my feedback to you is really about the hotel which we were able to book through you at a discounted rate.

We stayed in The Commodore on V&A Waterfront and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The value for money (to a UK traveller) is unbelieveable. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and the whole experience was truly 5 star.

And a special mention to the Restaurant "The Clipper" at the neighbouring hotel, The Portswood, where the Cape Malay cuisine was far better than anything the Waterfront restaurants had to offer and the service exceptional! We went there twice in only 6 nights! Cape Town and the winelands is paradise to vacationing Brits - standards are far higher than the USA or Europe and prices ridiculously low. Thanks again for your help in booking our hotel for this trip and I expect we'll be in touch again!"

"Felicity says that it was the most memorable birthday ever ... all went to plan and the Victoria Falls Hotel is just top class. It is full of old british colonial stuff. I really cannot find any fault with the services and it's location makes it unique. It's not cheap but for those who want to splash out it must be very difficult to beat anywhere in the world."

"Thanks for making sure we got safely out of Vilanculos before cyclone Favio hit. It's very sad that such a tragedy has happened in a town where the people seemed so proud and welcoming and where they were making a genuine effort to improve themselves through tourism. We were sad to leave but are grateful, to you, that we did! We may still have been stuck there by the look of the airport!

Another thank you for organising our trip to Zimbali (after we had to leave Dugong Lodge in Mozambique). It is a beautiful resort and Richard got an unexpected game of golf.

Our time at Elephant Plains was excellent. We saw all the big 5 plus more - the cheetah's and the wild dogs were especially good. The rangers know their stuff and the accommodation and catering was first class - it really was good value for money."

"Whilst we cannot let you claim the credit for all the glories that South Africa has to offer, we can let you have all the credit for putting us in the position of really being able to make the most of it all! It was the most wonderful holiday, and we really do appreciate everything you did to make it so for us.

Next time we will just spend the entire month at the Beach House!"

"Thank you so much for all your help! It was a wonderful experience and I will be singing your praise on Trip Advisor. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the time and understanding that you put into the arrangements.

Elephant Plains and Cape Town accommodations and service were amazing and exceeded expectations. Thank you for all your patience, timely responses, understanding our travel objectives and assistance with my change in plans."

"The arrangements to Botswana (Kwetsane) were flawless. Everything went very well. We were the only guests in the camp, and we had the drives to ourselves, so we were able to see the things that interested us in detail. The bird life was much better than the big game, although we did see a pride of lions, an elephant, and some hippos. The bird life was fantastic and our guide, Selane, was outstanding. The decor and tent were fine, and everything worked.

The connections through Gaberone and Maun went well, as did the Sofofane connection to the camp. I would be very comfortable recommending Wilderness to anyone wanting to do a similar trip."

"We had a wonderful safari at Elephant Plains and we would like to thanks you for recommending it. We will possibly go back there in a few years time. Our hosts, hostesses's, trackers and drivers were wonderful and we could not have wished for a more spectacular vacation.

Our accommodation was wonderful, being the luxury rooms. The camp, the pools and the decks overlooking the valley were beautiful, one could not have asked for a better setting."

"Thanks for all your organization. The tour all went to plan and was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The combination of lodges and camp worked extremely well. The experience and uniqueness of the camping and mokoro days will be long remembered."

"We had a fabulous time at Bakubung and would love to go back again. I found the booking process with you very straightforward. I can only say good things about the whole experience."

(travel dates: March 2007)

"We had a wonderful time - I can't say enough. Just to be able to go and relax and not worry about details (thanks to your arrangements) was fantastic! Each camp was different and fabulous! Botswana is the absolute best place to go.

We saw every possible animal there was (excluding the protected white Rhino-but that was okay) up close and personal. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The guides were great. What can I say? It was the best. Thank you so much for your arrangements."

"Thank you for all your help. We had an awesome time in Africa, and you really help make a positive difference!

The Royal Livingstone hotel was just amazing, the infrastructure, but more importantly the quality of service. Bostwana was also great, the best part was the water safari in the Chobe river."

"We are just back from our trip to SA and I wanted to write and thank you for organising such a wonderful holiday. Everything went very smoothly and all the hotels and activities surpassed our expectation.

I don't know when we will be back but I have no doubt we will be and I won't hesitate to use you again. Thank you so much for all your help and advice and for being so easy to deal with. We won't hesitate to recommend you to all our friends etc."

"The whole trip was sensational with both Baines Camp and Matetsi wonderful. We could not fault either. It was particularly pleasing that Matetsi was seemingly unaffected by the turmoils in that country and was how I last remembered it."

"We had a wonderful time in South Africa ! It was great for my wife to be back in Africa and she enjoyed it thoroughly!! We most liked Londolozi, then Sabi Sabi, then Mala Mala, and lastly Kings Camp.

The grounds and accommodation at Kings Camp was excellent. The food was good, but not exceptional compared to the other camps. Our ranger, Morne who was their head ranger was superb, possibly the best we had.

Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is beautifully managed by Lauren Wyndham. The grounds and accommodations were excellent. The food was very good, but a little too much Asian Fusion cuisine for our tastes.

Next was Sabi Sabi Selati Camp which was very charming and styled after the historic railroad life style of this area. The grounds and accommodations were excellent. The food was quite good at lunch, but surprisingly mediocre at their boma dinner in which they tried to produce an elaborate menu, but the serving was so slow that the food arrived cold.

Next was Londolozi Varty Camp which was our favorite. The grounds and accommodations were excellent. The food was the best which we had. Our ranger was Kate, a female ranger, who was young, eager, and very competent, and she worked with Ren the tracker. They made an excellent symbiotic team. Extremely hospitable staff.

Last was Mala Mala, a disappointment for us despite their upgrading us to Ratttrays. These were very large suites with 2 separate bathrooms and were a bit over the top, but certainly very comfortable and would be worth the surcharge for most people. The food was very good and they did an excellent job delivering to our suite. Very hospitable staff."

"Our safari was fantastic! The trip was more than good. Everything goes just fine and my mother (who was first time in Africa) was so happy. Our daugher Karola manage all flights very well.

All lodges was good and service very fine. We like most Madikwe area. I will give Your name to couple of my frieds who has also think about travel to Africa."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. That trip was absolutly wonderful! Way too short, but just amazing!

Kara and I had the time of our lives. Nkorho was just spectacular I could have stayed there for a month. Our rangers were amazing ... we saw all of the BIG 5, thanks to their lovely talents. I just got back yesterday from the longest traveling journey ever... but made it back in one piece to the states. Thank you for all of your help.

If all goes well.. I will be sending lots of business to you in the near future ... I have been raving about this trip and so far everyone is extremely jealous haha."

"We had a TREMENDOUS time at Kwa Maritane. The resort was just great, the room very comfortable and the staff there were very helpful. We went on two game drives with the resort tours, and saw three of the big five (elephant, lion and rhino). We were extremely lucky to see the lions on the first drive and so many rhino. We came across 35 elephants heading for the water hole, and had a great time there watching them drink. They actually chased away a large hippo mum and her calf!! On both drives, the game rangers were really informative and had lots of knowledge about the animals and their habitats.

Thanks heaps for arranging everything for us, I will certainly recommend the resort to anyone!"
