River Club Location
The River Club is situated on the Zambian side of the Zambezi river, 18 km upstream from the Victoria Falls. The Lodge faces the Zambezi National Park, which is on the far side of the river.

River Club Attractions
Elephant are frequently sighted on the small island in front of the lodge. Other animals characteristic of the area are hippo, giraffe, rhino and impala, and bird lovers will not be disappointed. Near Livingstone there is a small Park with white rhino, giraffe, etc.

River Club Facilities
The club can accommodate twenty guests in eleven thatched chalets. Each chalet has a ball and claw bath and shower with hot water all day, toilet and basin en-suite. The Chalets have air-conditioning, mosquito nets, overhead fans and roll down blinds. A new Princess Royal Suite is a recent addition. The double-storey suite is situated in a secluded private garden with its own pool and outdoor cooking area. Both floors are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi access. The suite offers a full butler service and private chef. The ground floor comprises a lounge area, library, bar and dining area. The suite is well-suited to families. Four adults can be accommodated in the two en-suite bedrooms, one situated on the ground floor and the other upstairs with a viewing deck overlooking the Zambezi River. Additional children’s beds can be arranged in the lounge to accommodate a total of six guests. The club is powered by 220v mains electricity. There are power points in the rooms for the use of electric shavers and hairdryers and the charging of video batteries. All power points, with the exception of the shaver sockets, are standard 13 amp (three square pin) plugs. The main colonial style club building houses the dining room, sitting room and reception. It has a well stocked library which is focused on the history of Southern Africa. The club faces west on to the Zambezi River with spectacular views of islands which are frequented by elephants and hippo. Guests can relax in the infinity pool in front of the main dining area.

River Club Additional Information
A spa massage room, complete with a gymnasium, sauna and jacuzzi is also available. The view from the spa massage room is spectacular. Tennis, snooker, fishing and sundowner boat trips to islands in front of the lodge. Visits to Musi oa Tunya National Park, Livingstone town, Livingstone Museum and the Railway museum, visits to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, nearby African villages and stone age sites are all included in the rates. The following activities can be arranged at an extra cost: Game walks and drives, full day canoeing, white water rafting, bungi jumping, helicopter and microlight flights, elephant back safaris and river boarding, horse-riding & clay-pigeon shooting.

River Club Children Policy
Children of 6 years and older are accommodated. For families travelling with children between 6 and 12 years, private activities need to be booked and paid for. Children between 6 and 16 years must share with an adult/s in the same room.
