Puku Ridge Tented Camp Location

This tented safari camp is in a remote wildlife area in South Luangwa National Park. Puku Ridge is located in a very high game rich wild life area. For millennia, this low, rocky ridge has overlooked the wide, water-rich valley. From this vantage point among the trees, predators and hunters would quietly observe the prolific hunting grounds spread out below.

Named for the elusive Puku antelope which never strays far from water, this beautiful camp among the trees overlooks a sweeping expanse of the fertile Kakumbi dambo (valley) near Chichele. Here the living is easy for both visitors and wildlife. Wildlife to be seen includes Elephant, Lion, Wild Dog, Buffalo and a wide variety of antelope in addition to endemic species such as Thornicroft’s giraffe and cooksons wildebeest. This is an excellent area for Leopards.

6 Spacious walk-in canvas safari tents with a wrap around view of the flood plains below. Each tent contains private bathroom facilities. Well-lit pathways cleared of undergrowth will connect the tents to the main bar/lounge. The natural vegetation will otherwise be left as undisturbed as possible.
