Named for the elusive Puku antelope that inhabits the Kakumbi Dambo (floodplain), which the camp overlooks, Puku Ridge Camp is built on a hillside, providing stunning vistas of the floodplain and the wildlife that frequents it.

Wildlife to be seen includes Elephant, Lion, Wild Dog, Buffalo and a wide variety of antelope in addition to endemic species such as Thornicroft’s giraffe and cooksons wildebeest. This is an excellent area for Leopards.

The camp offers 6 luxury oversized tents with a wrap around view of the floodplains. Each of the comfortably furnished tents boasts ensuite facilities which provides the option of taking a shower with the sun on your shoulders. All tents feature an indoor and outdoor shower, three-quarter or king size beds, mosquito nets, private deck, ceiling fan and hairdryer. Tea and coffee is brought to the rooms each morning.

This is an excellent area for leopards. Game Drives: Full range of game drives and night drives in the South Luangwa National Park using open 4X4 vehicles driven by a knowledgeable guide. Two game activities per day. The emphasis in this area is the wonderful opportunities for walking safaris and night drives. On night game drives, guests are to return to camp by 20h00. Walking Safaris: Guided walks by a professional guide and an armed national parks scout.
