Upon arriving at Onguma Plains, you will be received by not only our friendly staff, but also massive raw walls, stunning stone cladded features and a huge tower with the best views over Etosha and its pans.

The Main Fort This Fort will surprise you at every corner … a classical African feel combined with a touch of Moroccan and Indian flavours … characterised by a selection of the most beautiful antique windows and doors … Once inside the tall and cool roughly plastered walls, a courtyard awaits you, fitted with a large water feature that will refresh your senses straight away. Cross over to the other side of the water, and you will enter a spacious and beautifully decorated lounge and open air dining room. A large wooden deck will lead you to the outside, with scattered romantic seating spaces, in full view of the waterhole at which many various species of buck, giraffe, lion, zebra, birds, etc. come to drink and frolic daily. Wonderful meals will be served on either the viewing deck, at the outside dining area, around the lantern-lit pool at night, or inside the courtyard at the water feature. There is also a lovely Gift Shop at which you will be able to spoil yourself or any of your loved ones. Fort Suites Onguma Plains have 12 mini-Suites, all situated adjacent to the Main Fort extending on both sides to the south and the north. Every Suite is completely private with a main bedroom and dressing room area, all open plan and equipped with a bar fridge, telephone and an air cooling system for those warmer days. The spacious bathroom with some added privacy, has both an inside shower as well as an outside shower area. From every area of the room, wooden decks lead you towards the outside seating area and sun loungers for just relaxing and enjoying the extraordinary view. The one and only Main Fort Suite is situated inside the Main Tower of the main complex. It has a large beautifully designed bedroom that leads into a lounge area and out onto a private viewing deck. The lounge is equipped with bar fridge and telephone facilities. And for those warm evenings, you have an air cooling system as well as various doors that open up into the room to allow the smells and sounds of the bush to enter in. The large bathroom has a wonderful open shower area, as well as a bath in which to relax and reflect upon your day's experiences.

In the main complex there is a lounge, 2 dining rooms, a conference room, an events hall, a tower bar as well as a swimming pool. Morning and afternoon game drives are the main activities on offer.
