SAFARI
TRAVEL: DAMARALAND
A
land of stark plains, petrified forests, ancient valleys
and brooding mountains, Damaraland is home to desert-adapted
black rhino and elephant, occassional lion and cheetah
and many species of antelope. Prehistoric rock paintings
add to the almost mystical sense of space and antiquity.
The most famous rock painting the "White Lady of
Brandberg", found in the majestic sweep of the Brandberg
mountain range.
