Motsentsela Tree Lodge is a small Lodge situated on a game farm just outside Maun, Northern Botswana -the starting and finishing point for so many safaris to the Okavango, Moremi and Chobe NP.

The Lodge is situated on a small game farm, measuring 200 hectares and the game consists of ostrich, giraffe, zebra, kudu, duiker, springbok, impala, gemsbok, and several nocturnal species including aardwolf and aardvark. A recent bird count notched up over 120 species.

The Lodge has seven large Meru style tents, each with en suite toilet facilities. The tents are large enough to be very comfortable, simply furnished but stylish and attractive. All tents are on decks, surrounded by trees and are well spaced for privacy. There are also two new Honeymoon Cottages. The Lodge can now accommodate 18 persons. The Cottages are thatched with a unique outside shower set looking out onto the forest. Another feature is an en suite large circular bath with stunning views. The main thatched complex consisting of bar, lounge, entrance hall and dining room is very spacious with large windows – a cool and peaceful refuge from the heat of the day. The front is bordered by a large teak deck, which surrounds two large trees, a Leadwood and a Birdplum, the latter’s Setswana name gives the Lodge its name. For your relaxation, we also offer a swimming pool and sunbathing deck.

There are 3 marked walking trails for guests to explore the Farm and view the game and bird life. Cultural village Tours, Horse riding, Helicopter flips and Scenic flights are on offer.
