Lukuba Island Resort Location

The Lukuba Islands are situated in Lake Victoria. The islands lie approximately 15 km north-west of Musoma town in an offshore archipelago of three larger islands surrounded by countless smaller islets, each teeming with bird and marine life. The Lodge is set under masses of large fig trees and flanked by granite monolithson one of the picturesque Lukuba bays.

There are countless species of birds and wildlife such as the nile monitor lizard, vervet monkeys and spotted necked otters. Take some time out during the day by taking a boat out on the lake, fishing for giant Nile Perch, walking around the island spotting birds or just relaxing by the pool. The lodge itself is comprised of five intricately built stone bungalows with traditional grass thatched roofs, all with lake views. The maximum number of guests accommodated in a day are 10 allowing for a very personalised experience. The stone built dining room encompasses a beautiful view of the rock islands scattered across the channel. Guests are met in Musoma town by the Manager and escorted to the boat where the guest will take a 45 minute journey across to the island.
