Karama Lodge Attractions
Arusha’s a great place to start your holiday. Arusha National Park is located near the Lodge, or you can use this town as a base to stock up before heading out to Ngorongoro Crater and the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Karama Lodge is also a great starting place for your assault on Mt Kilimanjaro or Mt Meru.

Karama Lodge Facilities
There are 22 lovely cabins, built on stilts in the style of a Balinese village. Not only are these charming and beautiful, but they provide you with spectacular views of Mount Meru, Kilimanjaro, and the surrounding forest in complete privacy. You can literally watch the sun rise over Kilimanjaro from the comfort of your bed! The area used to be a butterfly farm, and you can still watch butterflies dancing in the colourful gardens. The restaurant's menu features fresh local ingredients with a tropical feel, all impeccably presented. Vegetarians, vegans, and those with special dietary needs are very welcome. Also provided are room service, laundry, email, luggage storage, transport to and from the airport or Arusha, and the friendly staff can arrange safaris or day trips to nearby national parks.

Karama Lodge Additional Information
Bird watching, Suye Hill Forest Reserve, nature walking, Olgilai Waterfall, massage. Visit to the Arusha Children's Trust Community Project, mountain climbing, safaris, holistic and healing days for massage workshops, reiki courses, introductions on various themes (healthy living, healthy food and reflexology), yoga-classes, sweat tent. Arusha National Park is one of the smaller national parks in Tanzania, but quite charming. It is home to elephants, giraffes, buffalo, water buck, some cheeky baboons and more - including, of course the unique Colobus Monkey. The Momella Lakes are a beautiful series of small lakes, each of which is a different colour due to the mineral concentration in the water. They also feature stunning flocks of flamingoes.
