The camp is set in one of the most densely populated wetland areas for Sitatunga and Red Lechwe. Game concentrations all depend on the flow of the water. All the big game is here ~ elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo. Pels fishing owl, slaty egret and wattled crane are favourites amongst birders, as well as the greater and lesser Jacanas.
|
Jacana has five small meru-style tents. Each tent is raised on a wooden deck overlooking the flood-plains and has a private bathroom with flush toilet and shower. The bathroom is enclosed but roofless.
The main dining area is on the top floor of an elevated wooden deck between two magnificent sycamore figs, surrounded by dense wild date palms.
Downstairs there is a pub and lounge with an open fire under the stars.
The camp is perfect for families with children.

Jacana Camp Additional Information |
