Idube Game Lodge Attractions
Idube Game Reserve is home to the Big Five (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard) with frequent sightings of Cheetah and the Elusive Wild Dog. Experienced rangers and expert Shangaan trackers are on hand to introduce you to the wonders of nature. More than 300 bird species provide a challenge for avid bird watching enthusiasts. On game drives, walks and in the camp you are exposed to a host of smaller creatures. This is the world of Idube - from an elephant to an ant - a complex interaction of all living creatures, is the way of the wild.
Idube Game Lodge Facilities
Spacious private chalets feature an en-suite bathroom, private hot water outside showers, air-conditioning, overhead fans and have excellent views of the surrounding bush.
Meals are a social occasion and a high point of the day is dinner in the boma around a glowing fire. Together guests and rangers enjoy the excellent cuisine, attentive service and friendly atmosphere. Special venison dishes feature prominently on the very varied menu.
Hot and sunny afternoons can be spent cooling off in the sparkling pool. Or just relaxing under a magnificent Jackalberry Tree and identifying which feathered visitors come calling.
Idube Game Lodge Additional Information
Open Land Rover game drives are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon. Bird watching is an all-day pastime and by request your ranger will accompany you on a game walk of the intriguing area which surrounds the camp. Night drives are also conducted to afford the chance of spotting any nocturnal creature, which are non-active and not visible during daylight hours.
Educational talk/slide show done by rangers as well as a trackers course are also on offer at no extra cost.
