Horse Back Safari B, Botswana

A 5 night/6 day horse back Safari in the Okavango Delta, starting and ending at Maun airport. There are two versions of this safari, depending on the starting date chosen. (Minimum riding ability required is mastery of the basic aids, ability to post to the trot for stretches of 10 minutes at a time, to be comfortable at all paces and to be able to gallop out of trouble. It is a great advantage of you are fit and a proficient rider).

Please Note: High Season Weight Supplement: Over 200lbs (14 Stone, or 90kg) a supplement of 50% will be charged for an extra horse. The weight limit remains 210lbs (15 stone or 95kg)

Transfers to and from Maun airport to camps, Accommodation, meals, drinks supplied locally, guiding, riding, game drives, walks & mokorors, concession fees and Botswana Governmenr VAT tax.
Types of Horses: Horses are pure either: Pure Arab, Anglo Arab, American Saddle Bred, Part& Full Thoroughbred, Kalahari and Kalahari cross. Between 14 and 17 hands, well schooled, responsive and even tempered. Tack: Tack is English Style and each saddle has a sheep skin or seatsaver for comfort. Australian Wintee and an assortment of leather saddles are used Barnsby and Kieffer. Tack is of high quality and kept in good condition.

Tour Price Excludes:
Scheduled flight airfares, Insurance to cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical, baggage and money, emergency evacuation back home, and gratuities to guides, paddlers and to staff.
