With several hiking trails that begin at the doorstep, one can explore a countryside teeming with a myriad of flora and fauna. Meander along the paths through the virgin forest or stroll down to the river where the Loerie, Kingfisher and Sacred Ibis nest.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge offers fifteen suites all with private decks overlooking forest vistas. Each uniquely styled suite with a king sized bed has a distinctly African feel with local woods, colours and textures, creating a warm ambience. Guests enjoy balmy summer days out on the shady wooden deck with its sweeping views, or spend cooler nights beside a cosy log fire. Farmhouse breakfasts and sumptuous dinner feasts are prepared by our two chefs. Dinner is served from Mondays to Sundays at a communal table in the convivial candle-lit comfort of the farmhouse, which is richly decorated in memorabilia from around the world.
