Description:
The Cessna aircraft
company in USA has been building solid, reliable aircraft
for over seven decades, and the 206 is one of their most
successful aircraft.
Sefofane uses the 206 in the
Okavango Delta, Botswana and it is fondly spoken about by
all those that fly her. The 206 is literally the workhorse
of the delta, doing inter-transfer passenger flights between
camps and lodges as well as freight runs on particular days.

Powerplant: 206H-One 224kw (300hp) Textron
Lycoming IO-540-AC1A driving three blade c/s prop. T206H-one
231kw (310hp) turbocharged TIO-540AJ1A.
Production: 7556 206’s were built
through to 1984. Approx 400 206H & T206H delivered by
late 2000
Accomodation: The 206 is approved for single
crew operation, however it has a two seat flight deck with
dual controls. It take a maximum of 5 passengers. It has
a single entry door on the pilots side and also two large
double doors at the rear on the starboard side.
Baggage: The 206 has a cargo pod on the
belly of the plane which can take up to 150kg of weight.
There is an additional space behind the aft two seats. Passengers
have a 12kg baggage allowance on these aircraft. No hard
suitcases are permitted.
