Duma Tau Attractions
The Savuti area is famous for its Lions which have been documented in National Geographic films, one which is the most exciting being the Joubert`s `Eternal Enemies` which depicts the conflicts between Lion and Hyena. Elephant are one of the area`s biggest attractions along with the Red Lechwe, Zebra, Wildbeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Sable, Roan, Warthog, Crocodile and Buffalo. Then there are the predators - Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena and the nocturnal animals - Bushbabies, Springhare, Aardwodlf, Serval, Genet, Pangolin and the smaller predators. Birding is also great here - from the Okavango `specials` such as Slaty, Egret, White Rumped Babblers and Wattled Cranes, to the bushveld species.

Duma Tau Facilities
Duma Tau is built under cool and shady mangosteen trees overlooking an enormous lagoon east of the source of the Savuti channel. The ten tented units are raised off the ground to overlook the Osprey Lagoon, while in general, the architecture evokes the age of the explorers along with a sense of space, thanks to the wraparound clear-storey window allowing 360-degree dramatic views of the river. Each room has an additional outdoor shower. There is also a dining room, pub, lounge, and a guest toilet with a fantastic view. DumaTau operates completely on solar energy, for hot water, lighting and other energy needs, and is built of FSC-standard timber. In addition, the camp has water-wise waste removal and is built with green and thermal insulating materials.

Duma Tau Additional Information
New pool open March 2013. Duma Tau offers boating, day and night game drives and nature drives along the Linyanti and Savuti as well as short nature walks. The pontoon allows guests access to the waterways to observe the hippos at close range. There are a number of hides in the area which give guests the opportunity to observe and photograph animals close up in their natural environment without disturbance.
