Zambezi Explorer - Detailed Information

DAY 1

You will be met at Livingstone Airport and transferred by road to Tongabezi where you will spend two nights on the banks of the Zambezi River. Spend the rest of the day sight seeing and relaxing on the banks of the great Zambezi river. Overnight: Tongabezi - Cottage

DAY 2

Tongabezi is situated 20km upstream from Victoria Falls, on the banks of the Zambezi, overlooking Victoria Falls National Park. Built on the edge of the banks of the Zambezi, Tongabezi Lodge reflects the mystery, style and excitement of the fast-fading spirit of old Africa. One's impression is dominated by the all-consuming view of a river, which has carved its authority halfway across Africa. Rumour has it that if Doctor Livingstone had found Tongabezi first, he may never have discovered the Falls, instead "he would almost certainly have sold his family into slavery and checked in"! DAY 3

Enjoy another day taking part in the numerous activities that Victoria Falls offers - Bunji jumping, Elephant safari, Whitewater rafting, Helicopter flight, Micro lighting, Horse riding, etc. Overnight: Tongabezi - Cottage

DAY 4

Today you transferred to Sindabezi Island Camp, which is situated three km's downstream from Tongabezi Lodge. Magnificent views overlooking other islands and game on a nearby flood plain of the Victoria Falls National Park. All chalets have cold running water, hot bucket showers and flush loos with views. The island is fully staffed and all chalets have field phones for room service but have no electricity - only lamps and candles. Overnight: Sindabezi Island Camp

DAY 5

Sindabezi Island Camp is unique, being the only island Lodge on the Upper Zambezi River in the Victoria Falls area. The chance to experience elephant in your room, hippo on your doorstep, awake to the dawn chorus - possibly the best wildlife experience in the Victoria Falls region.

DAY 6

After breakfast you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport where this itinerary ends.
