Desert Express 1 - Detailed Information

DAY 1

Depart Windhoek's historical station, times of departure are subject to change between various months of the year, but here is an estimated outline. Meet for check in at Windhoek station around 11h30 in Winter; 12h30 in Summer. Our fist stop will be at Okapuka Ranch where you can witness close-up lion feeds (No children 10 years or younger). We then depart Okapuka Ranch and enjoy a sundowner at sunset set in the desert from on the train. In the evening we arrive Friedrichsvelde, enjoy a three-course dinner on the train and take a walk and view stars outside!

DAY 2

We will depart early in the morning and enjoy breakfast while watching the desert scenery pass by. We will arrive at Rand Rifles around 09h00 where you have the chance, if you wish, to disembark and take walk in these unique surroundings. Or, take the available shuttle to the nearest dunes and these at you leisure. We will arrive at Swakopmund Station at 10h00 where your journey ends.
