Blue Train Northbound - Detailed Information

DAY 1

07h50 - 08h30: Register and check-in at The Blue Train Lounge, Cape Town Station. Enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks.
08h30: Boarding starts. Butlers usher guests to their suites. Suite orientation done by butlers.
08h50: The Blue Train departs from Cape Town Station.
11h00 - 12h15: First sitting for Brunch
12h15 - 13h25: Second sitting for Brunch.
13h30 - 15h20: Train arrives at Kleinstraat siding for a off-the-train excursion at Aquila Private Game Reserve. Guests transferred by Aquila vehicles and enjoy a welcome drink served at the Reserve. Guests enjoy coffee/tea and snacks served in the restaurant. An educational talk about habits and conservation of cheetahs presented to guests by experienced Game Rangers. Guests will also get a chance to interact with these incredible animals. As the philosopher Baba Dium once wrote, "We only conserve what we love, we only love what we understand, we only understand what we know and we only know what we are taught."
15h30: The Blue Train departs for its northbound journey to Pretoria.
16h00: High tea is served in the Lounge Car.
After an exciting interlude guests are free to refresh themselves and enjoy pre-dinner drinks at any one of our lounges.
19h00: First sitting of dinner starts at 19h00. Remember, dinner is an elegant affair and men are requested to wear a jacket and tie or dress in traditional attire and ladies in elegant evening or traditional wear.
21h00: Second sitting for Dinner.

DAY 2

07h00 - 10h00: Breakfast is served on a first come first serve basis. Breakfast can also be served in-suite at the guests' request.
12h30: The Blue Train arrives at Pretoria Station.
