Deacra Limitada is situated in the Inhambane Province, Mozambique, on the northern side of Vilankulos Bay. In terms of location, it is approximately 3 kms from the center of Vilankulos town - therefore in close proximity to other lodges, shops, banks, a newly opened conference center, telecommunication facilities, and a wide range of activities & water-sports. Situated some 500kms south of Beira and 750kms north of Maputo, Vilankulos boasts an international airport with direct flights from Johannesburg, Maputo & Nelspruit on a daily basis as well as tri-weekly flights from Manzini, Durban & the Region in general. Departure of these flights allows easy connection for onward flights to Europe & the US.

The North of the country is a coastal zone, the climate being tropical & humid. The rainy season is between October & April with temperatures between 27 & 29 degrees, whilst the dry season falls between May & September with temperatures between 18 & 20 degrees.

Comprising 3 twin bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, a fully fitted kitchen and open planned dining area, the houses even have the luxury of a private swimming pool and garden. Each house can sleep up to 8 pax. The houses come fully equipped - from all bedding, mosquito nets, top quality linen, crockery & cutlery to custom-crafted wooden furniture & finishings. Each house has its own character - however all maintaining the stylishness of an upmarket beach-front haven.

Vilankulo serves as the gateway to the marine paradise of the Bazaruto Archipelago. With clear blue waters which play host to a myriad of ocean life and soft, white, sandy beaches there are a host of water sports available including scuba diving, snorkelling, deep sea fishing and dhow trips around the islands to mention just a few. The lodge management will assist in organising activities for guests on request. The town itself has many attractions including a vibrant market and several good restaurants. It is also possible to buy fresh seafood from the local fishermen at the harbour.
