Zimbabwe's Second City
FEW places in Africa combine so much history and natural beauty as the Matobo Hills, a rock forest of massive granite domes and balancing boulders.

This is a place which has awed and inspired humans since the dawn of history, where the San (Bushmen) left their paintings in caves and rock clefts, and where the Shona people worshipped at oracle caves sacred to their god/creator, Mwari.
The great Englishman and archetypal colonialist, Cecil John Rhodes, was so struck by the beauty and majesty of the landscape, that he arranged to be burried there, close to the resting place of the great warrior-king, Mzilikazi.
