Tranquil Tropical Paradise
A string of lakes, marshes, coral reefs and secluded beaches make the northeastern corner of South Africa a tropical paradise of unsurpassed beauty. From Lake Sibaya in the south - the country's largest freshwater lake and home to hippos and crocodiles - to Kosi Bay in the north, the area is well worth exploring, particularly for those seeking out-of-the-way destinations, away from crowds and commercialism. Rocktail Bay - one of South Africa's top angling spots - is a haven of peace and tranquility, with miles and miles of golden beaches to explore.

The Lodge nestles behind the dunes, and from here, surf angling, salt-water flyfishing and snorkeling are offered the visitor.
Between November and February, nightly turtle tours are conducted on the beach, to view the leatherbacks hatching and laying eggs - a unique encounter with these 2 meter long, 600 kg denizens of the deep. In the Kosi lake system, one can view the fish traps which the indigenous people have used for 500 years. Breathtaking sunrises, rare and endangered plants and animals, coral reefs and golden beaches make this a tropical paradise.
