Pristine natural diversity
STRETCHING southwards behind Cape Town's famous landmark of Table Mountain is a mountain chain of awe-inspiring beauty, ending at Cape Point Nature Reserve. Within this area are the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the famous Chapman's Peak Drive along the Atlantic seaboard, and beautiful beaches such as Llandudno, Long Beach, Scarborough and Boulders - which is also home to an increasingly large colony of penguins.

Cape Point Nature Reserve - with its landmark lighthouse - is a pristine area with an abundance of fynbos (lit. fine bush), some antelope, zebra and ostrich. The Cape Peninsula makes up one of the world's six floral kingdoms, and although the smallest, it has the highest diversity of floral species.
