Cosmopolitan City and Beautiful Beaches
THE "Mother City" of South Africa was founded when the first Dutch settlers arrived here in 1652, and is today South Africa's premier tourist destination and rated one of the finest cities in the world to visit.

Cape Town has a cosmopolitan vibrancy and is a melting pot of cultures.
It offers trendy shopping districts, magnificent beaches, spectacular mountains and an allure that makes many travelers come back again…and again.
There are many top hotels, some of them among the world's finest, numerous restaurants, good theatre, museums and art galleries. The renowned Victoria and Alfred Waterfront draws millions of visitors each year to its shopping malls and boutiques, street theatre, hotels, bars, restaurants and boat trips.
From there, it's a quick trip by boat across Table Bay to the infamous Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela and his colleagues were imprisoned by the previous government.
The island can also be viewed from atop Table Mountain, accessible via cableway or by walking (for the fit and determined). Cape Town makes an excellent place to end a safari to South Africa.
