Chitwa Chitwa Game Lodge is situated in the remote northern wilderness of the Sabie Sand Game Reserve on the banks of the largest lake in the reserve. The Lodge borders the Kruger National Park to the east with Mala Mala to the South. By road it is approximately five and a half hours drive from Johannesburg. Meals are served in either one of the two bomas or inside the restaurant. Our underground wine cellar, stocked with selected South African and imported wines, adds a special something to the unique Mediterranean/African cross-culture cuisine that the lodge is famous for. Chitwa Chitwa offers the discerning international traveller a five star personal experience. We pride ourselves on our standard of service and personal attention to each and every guest.

Birdlife abounds throughout the lodge gardens and a hide provides an excellent site for watching various game during the day. The lodge seems to melt into the surrounding trees, rendering you invisible to the game gathering on the open plain coming to drink in the coolness of the evening.

Chitwa Chitwa Game Lodge offers exclusive accommodation in stylish individually decorated chalets, each of which has superb views of the surrounding bush and wildlife. All rooms have imported mosquito nets, pure cotton bed linen, air-conditioning and ceiling fans - creating a tranquil African atmosphere. There are also two deluxe chalets which have both been decorated in an exciting blend of contemporary furniture and stylish African art pieces. Each of these chalets has a luxury en suite bathroom and separate dressing room. Guests can truly enjoy a beautiful view of the largest lake in the Sabie Sands from their private terrace. The newly completed bar and lounge area affords fantastic views over the lake and surrounding areas. Decorated along the same lines as the deluxe chalets and with a fully stocked bar, you are sure to spend some time here. The crystal clear swimming pool has a large deck with comfortable loungers for those who want to soak up the African sun.
