Cheetah Plains Location
Cheetah Plains is part of the world -renowned Sabi Sand Reserve and borders the Kruger National Park itself. As there is no dividing fence, Cheetah Plains is part of the vast Kruger Park ecosystem. Entrance is through Gowrie Gate in the northern part of the Sabi Sand Reserve.

Cheetah Plains Attractions
Africa's Big Five are regularly sighted at Cheetah Plains. All the plains' mammals are to be found here as well as over 100 bird species. The safari experience here is unique in that we do not only concentrate on the Big Five, but you can also learn about the history of the reserve and how the Tsongas once lived on this land alongside the animals, as well as studying the ecosystem in the area.

Cheetah Plains Facilities
Bush Lodge is a luxurious family lodge and comprises of eight thatched chalets all with en-suite rooms, air-conditioning, overhead fans and mosquito nets; two viewing decks; library and plunge pool; breakfast is full English buffet, lunch is simple with hot and cold dishes, afternoon tea and fresh bakes and dinner is a four-course meal; children welcome. Renowned chef Suzi Holtzhausen has created the menus at Bush Lodge.

Cheetah Plains Additional Information
Cheetah Plains are now offering guests a comprehensive range of massage therapies and treatments, some of which include Aromatherapy massage, reflexology massage, Swedish and tension massage, paraffin back massage, Indian head massage as well as combination treatments. Their qualified therapist, will be using Environ products that are proudly South African. Treatments can be pre-booked or direct once at the lodge. We also offer daily tours to a nearby Shangaan village, where you will learn about the customs and traditions of the local people. The village is situated about 10 minutes outside of Gowrie Gate. The above is beside the usual two game drives a day (morning and evening) plus a guided walking trail.
