The golf course is 6381 metres in length and has a SAGU rating of 72. It borders the largest natural lagoon in Southern Africa, and the 9th, 17th and 18th holes run parallel to the lagoon. The course was awarded the Golf Digest award for the best new course in South Africa in 1999. In 2002, the course was rated number 9 in South Africa by Golf Digest and number 5 in 2003. Arabella Golf Club was awarded the Compleat Golfer Five Star award in 2003.
