Ants Bush Camp Attractions
The reserve is bisected by deep canyons, created by the fast flowing Palala and the Blocklands rivers, and provides a home for a vast variety of game, from the highly endangered black rhino and wild dog,to white rhino, leopard and a host of other more common antelope, that are indigenous to the Waterberg. Steeped in history, the reserve boasts unique unspoilt Bushman Paintings from a bygone era, as well as numerous iron age sites.

The camp is tented, situated on wooden platforms and despite there being no electricity, hot showers and tasty meals are provided. It the perfect for those who would like to explore the rugged and challenging wilderness of Africa, guided by knowledgeable and experienced guides. The best way to explore this last remote wilderness is on foot, based from "Lookout Camp", strategically located high up on a ridge with spectacular spreading views across the reserve.

The opportunity to visit the some the best bushman paintings and archaeological sites in the Limpopo province. Guided walks. They can be as long or short as guests would like e.g. we can walk from the camp to a scenic spot at the river, enjoy a delicious bush lunch, swimming and relaxation at the river and continue thereafter either on foot back to the camp or by doing a game drive back to the camp. Day and night game drives. Fishing is available from mid September to mid April for yellow fish and bass. IMPORTANT NOTE: The walking at Lapalala requires good foot wear and can be challenging. Guests need to be relatively fit for this. This gives guests a true rustic African experience in an unspoilt Wilderness area.
