Ngorongoro Crater and the surrounding highlands is a spectacle often called the eighth wonder of the world. Beside the magnificent crater and lake, the area teems with animals and birdlife and is the only park in Tanzania which is home to the black rhino as well as black maned lions, elephant and antelope herds. The warrior Maasai herdsmen co-exist in a unique harmony with the wildlife.
