Sub tropical Mozambique on the eastern shores of Africa, boasts thousands of miles of unspoiled, pristine beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Indian ocean. The capital city of Maputo in the south is served by scheduled air from Johannesburg and Durban, while the beach paradise of Bazaruto in the central region can only be reached by air from Johannesburg. Self driving is possible in Mozambique, but not recommended, as the roads are still in a very poor state after decades of neglect.

Mozambique is a perfect combination with a safari in Botswana or South Africa, and the accommodations are generally small, luxurious and romantic.
