Mashatu is often a forgotten corner of Botswana, lying on the eastern border with neighboring South Africa. The terrain is quite spectacular, with massive rock formations and an abundance of Baobab trees. The area is well known for large elephant herds and can combine very well with Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa, with road transfers via Gaberone between Madikwe and Mashatu.
