A to Z list of Masai Mara Safari Lodges and Camps The great savannah grasslands of the Masai Mara is part of a greater wildlife region which includes the Serengeti in neighboring Tanzania. The terrain, characterized by lone Acacia trees, is home to a very high density of animals and birds and during the dry season (July to October) is home to the annual great migration of wildebeest and other herbivores, following their trek north from the Serengeti.
