Madikwe Game Reserve is situated in a malaria free region of South Africa, making it ideal for families and those travelers who suffer adversely from anti-malarial medication. The region has an excellent year round climate and is characterized by grassy plains, koppies and rocky hills and is Big Five territory at its best, as it is also home to the largest concentration of the endangered Wild Dog.
