Etosha is Namibia's premier wildlife park - a desert wilderness characterized by shimmering mirages across a vast salt pan. There are public camps within the reserve, but we recommend staying at one of the small, private lodges which border the reserve. Among the top choices are Ongava Tented Camp and Onguma.

Self driving is relatively easy, but Namibia is a huge country, so unless time permits, we recommend an air charter from Windhoek direct to the lodges.
