Africa's Big Five Game Animals and an Adventurer's Dream Destination, Singita has abundant wildlife, with a higher bio-mass of animals per hectare than the internationally renowned Kruger National Park. The park has a tremendous trove of wildlife treasures with the crown jewels being Africa's fearsome big five: elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhinoceros. There is a wide variety of animals at Singita. You can see hippos eating near your lodge and lithe cheetahs on the open plains. A variety of antelope abound and the magnificent kudu, with its corkscrew horns, is often seen in the thick bush. Nyala, impala, wildebeest, zebra, waterbuck, steenbok and grey duiker complete the panoply of antelope species. Also an amazing abundance of bird life.

Downstream on the Sand River lies the contemporary Boulders Lodge with nine exclusive air-conditioned double suites, with bathroom and private indoor or open-air showers, a double-sided fireplace, exclusive living area, private swimming pool and outdoor leisure deck overlooking the river. Towering, lofty grandeur blends with traditional earthy colours, tones and tapestries to offer private comfort and world class luxury. Here you'll listen for the sounds of the surrounding African bushveld and gaze out over the sweeping views of the plain were lion and cheetah hunt. Your time at Singita is your own. While we offer game drives and walks, and the finest big five game viewing in Southern Africa, Singita is distinguished by the wide range of activities our guests are free to enjoy at the lodges. Clay pigeon shooting is available on request, or guests may try some seasonal fishing in the rivers. You may ask your ranger to requisition a private Land Rover, or you may choose to join one of the daily drives or group walks. Bush breakfasts and sunset cocktails may be arranged for you in some of the most scenic spots in the reserve, or you may dine on the privacy of your deck. A guided visit to Justitia Village, just outside the boundary of the reserve, will provide you with fascinating insights into the life of the local Shangaan community. In the reserve, highly trained and experienced rangers and trackers will introduce you to an Africa few have been privileged to see, while the lodge staff, headed up by internationally trained management and a highly sought-after executive chef will ensure that your stay is not simply pleasant but truly memorable.
