you are really adventurous and are prepared
to drive through Zimbabwe it is still
possible. The real risk is breaking
down and finding fuel.
Once noted as having one of the finest
road infrastructures in Africa, particularly
between the major cities and the Eastern
Highlands, Zimbabwe is a jewel of exquisite
landscape and scenery.
We do not rent vehicles out from within
Zimbabwe - these must be hired from
Johannesburg or Polokwane (Pietersburg)
in South Africa. Cross border surcharges
are applicable.
The standard sedans are only suitable
for exploring the eastern and south-eastern
part of the country. Victoria Falls
and Kariba Town are connected by a very
inferior gravel road. It is only worth
attempting any of the secondary or offbeat
routes in a four wheel drive vehicle.
It is also recommended to travel in
a convoy of at least two vehicles.
