ENGLAND
2010 HOST CITIES
Your team kicks off in Rustenburg Stadium on 12 June and play their
next game in Cape Town on 18 then Port Elizabeth on 23 June. It is expected
that the English training camp will be at Bafokeng Royal Sports Palace
Complex near Rustenburg.
This camp will provide the team with top facilities at high altitude,
so fans might want to base themselves around Johannesburg, Rustenburg
or Pretoria. You will be ideally placed to make a five or six day Kruger
Park safari or even a quick trip to Okavango in Botswana. In Cape Town,
use the opportunity to drive the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS:
• Botswana fly-in safari.
• Madikwe Malaria Free Reserve.
• Kruger Park Private Lodge fly-in Safari.
• Waterberg boutique safari lodges.
• Victoria Falls & Chobe Game Park Safari. • The
Cape Winelands and Route 62.
• The Garden Route or Little Karoo to PE.
Complete the form at right and tell us what you want to do before, after
or between all games. With over 20 years as safari specialists, we will
provide the right solutions at the right price.
MORE ABOUT
THE ENGLAND TEAM
FIFA ranking: 7
Nickname(s): The Three Lions
Head Coach: Fabio Capello
Captain: Rio Ferdinand
Team Base Camp: Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus, near Rustenburg, North
West Province
England was the most powerful and convincing team in Europe during the
qualification rounds. The Three Lions are one of the superior teams
to win it all, and with Italian Fabio Capello as coach and Wayne Rooney,
John Terry and others in top form, England might claim their first World
Cup title since the glorious 1966 win. England also has more than enough
top talent to replace the injured David Beckham. The draw was nearly
perfect for England and if they come through the round of 16, it will
be hard to deny The Three Lions a taste of victory in real time. England
can also count on massive local support among South Africans.
